Our traditional Lakeland house with character offers a warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere. It is only a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Windermere village and railway station.
The Ravensworth is a 19th century traditional stone guest house with easy access to the many attractions of the Lake District National Park. It is very close to shops and restaurants. There is ample space to relax in our lounge, dine in our charming conservatory or chill-out on the terrace. There is a pub only a few minutes’ walk away.
Every room is centrally heated and each has its own en suite bath/shower, colour television, hair dryer and radio alarm with iPod dock. Complimentary refreshments are offered to morning and afternoon arrivals.
Our aim is to make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. Our hope is that no one leaves disappointed.
Please note that there are two small dogs on the premises.

If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, the first night will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Our complimentary, full English breakfast is freshly cooked and served in our conservatory dining room (evening meals not served). We also serve various cereals, fruit and yoghurt. For special occasions we can provide sparkling wine, champagne, flowers and even a celebration cake!
Turn off the M6 Motorway at Junction 36 onto the A590 (A591) to Kendal & Windermere. Follow the dual carriageway to the large roundabout just outside Kendal. Carry on along the A591 to Windermere. After passing the village sign stay on the main road, ignoring the sign into the town centre, and The Ravensworth is about 500 metres on the left, just before the doctors surgery and church.
